FILM BOATS was founded by Manel Capdevila and Marc Alvarez to bridge the audiovisual and maritime worlds. Their goal is to ensure mutual understanding between both fields and successfully manage any situation with safety and expertise.
FILM BOATS supports and advises productions at all stages of aquatic and underwater filming, using any type of vessel or floating device for both scene and logistical support. To provide optimal working conditions, they have developed two vessels equipped to house cameras and drones in all formats.
Their primary objective is to ensure the success of every project they participate in, taking care of every detail from start to finish.
After studying audiovisual communication and cinematography, he started working in film and advertising in the Camera and Grip departments. Driven by a passion for the sea, he pursued professional nautical training and in 2013 became a professional skipper. In 2014, he founded a charter company that quickly became one of Ibiza’s leading nautical businesses.
In 1998, after studying Image and Sound, he began his career in the audiovisual sector, working in Locations and Production. Over 20 years, he established himself as a Location Manager on major projects in Spain and later led teams as a Production Manager and Line Producer. Combining his passion for the sea with his professional experience, he founded FILM BOATS to support water-related shoots.
